Katherine has been recognized as one of the leading strategic thinkers in the country, having won both national and international strategic planning awards from the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
Katherine is currently a Vice President and Group Planning Director at The Martin Agency where she uncovers unique target audience insights in order to bridge the gap between corporations and consumers. Katherine specializes in understanding and depicting the real life of real moms and is currently running the strategic planning efforts for the world’s largest marketer to moms, Wal-Mart.
Katherine is also the Founder of The Mom Complex, a think tank that inspires, enables and challenges real moms to teach everyone a thing or two about life in their world. In order to get to the heart of mothers, Katherine and her team regularly host “Opinion Parties” where moms get together with their real friends without marketers in the room. The result is insights that are different from, and undoubtedly more accurate than, insights derived from more traditional research methods.
In addition to working for The Martin Agency, Katherine serves as an Adjunct Professor at the VCU Brandcenter, the number-one ranked advertising graduate program in the country.
