VCU Brandcenter

Job Placement and
Career Opportunities

Hello crazy, exciting work world.

The VCU Brandcenter's mission is to develop the best creative problem solvers in the world. That means providing career guidance to those future leaders every step of the way.

Career Services & Recruiting

From offering classes like Professional Possibilities, to giving interview advice, to inviting recruiters from agencies and companies around the country to check out our students' work, the Brandcenter gives its students the best opportunities to begin their careers. Throughout their two years, students are able to meet with visiting recruiters in person. As graduation approaches, we host a 2-day  Recruiter Session to give graduating students the chance to meet over 250 agency and company recruiters in a reverse career fair setting: the students are the ones with tables that display their work and show their personalities.

Once our students graduate and their careers begin, we continue to serve them with job postings and resources through our tight-knit alumni network. Our alums keep up with and help each other's careers, as well, and they love to recruit from the Brandcenter. (They know what it takes, after all.)

Job Placement

With such a multitude of resources and networking opportunities, it's not surprising that by the time they graduate, 25-45% of our students have already secured jobs. That number is up to 97% by six months after graduation. See below for job placement of our recent grads, and take a look at our Alumni Salary Survey Results to get an idea of their average starting salaries.
