Bio:

Margaret Johnson

Margaret is a 24-year veteran of GS&P and leads the agency’s Creative department, a position she assumed in 2015 after being named a partner in 2012. In 2016 she was named the agency’s first chief creative officer.

Under her leadership, Forbes named GS&P “Agency of the Year” in 2019 with Ad Age picking GS&P as a runner-up to “Agency of the Year” in 2019 and 2020. In 2018, Ad Age also awarded Margaret the honor of “Executive of the Year,” and over the years, she has been named one of the industry’s top chief creative officers by Forbes, Business Insider, Campaign,Adweek and The Drum.

Margaret serves on the board of the One Show, was a founding member of the 3% conference and co-founded non-profit Daughters of the Evolution with her 12-year-old daughter, Vivian. In 2019, the non-profit created Lessons in HerStory, an app that was launched at SXSW and uses augmented reality to celebrate stories of women typically omitted from history textbooks. Over the past year, the app won every coveted creative award, including Gold Cannes Lions and the prestigious White Pencil at D&AD.

 

Zach Canfield

Zach Canfield grew up with four parents who practiced psychology. After years of psychoanalysis at the hands (brains?) of his parents, he did the unthinkable and moved to San Francisco, where he lived in a co-op with a bunch of hippies. Now his four parents psychoanalyze each other, and he visits on Christmas.

Zach started at GS&P before he could legally drink. He was originally hired as an administrative assistant but hacked his way—literally and figuratively—through GS&P’s many departments. Along the way, he met so many exceptional people that he decided to make a career of bringing in more.

In total he has 20+ years of advertising experience working at GS&P as an Associate Partner and Director of Talent, at Wieden+Kennedy as their Global Director of Creative Recruiting, and Google overseeing global creative recruiting.
