Jonathan Rosen (AD, 1999)

Visual Artist and Creative Director

Topic: THE ART OF THE SIDE HUSTLE

How to use advertising (and not be used by it) to fuel your passion projects, second careers and creative sanity.

Bio:

As an art director and copywriter, Jonathan Rosen did award-winning work at creative shops Wieden & Kennedy / Amsterdam, Leagas Delaney / London, Fallon / New York, and served five years as a creative consultant in Sydney, Australia.

Jonathan graduated top of his class from NYU's Film Director's Intensive Program, which became the impetus to combine his passion and launch one of the first hybrid agency/production companies, Lucky Branded Entertainment. At Lucky, Jonathan served as co-founder, Creative Director, and Film Director and worked for high-profile brands such as Google, Nike, Diesel, Speedo, Starbucks, and Teach For America.

Jonathan’s next creative leap landed him in the art world. His work has been exhibited in museum shows and permanent collections throughout NYC, Sydney, Taipei, Paris, Hong Kong, and other major cities.

With his entrepreneurial spirit and love for art and tech, Jonathan launched another startup called Artsparkr, a platform that helps creatives find much-needed funding and creative opportunities. With close to 3,000 creative opportunities and $30 million in arts funding, Artsparkr continues to roll-out features and build future revenue streams.

Jonathan lives in his hometown (NYC), and is exhibiting a new mirror piece at Richmond's InLight Festival on November 15th & 16th from 7-11pm in Chimborazo Park
