Karl Lieberman is the CCO of Wieden+Kennedy. He graduated from University of Delaware in 1999 and has worked as both an art director and a copywriter. In 2006 he co-created “The Most Interesting Man in the World” campaign for Dos Equis that ran for a decade and helped triple the brand’s business. In 2010 he penned and creative directed the P&G “Thank You, Mom” Olympics campaign that won an Emmy in 2012 and was named one of the most successful P&G Olympics marketing efforts. In 2015 he helped revive “The Colonel” for Kentucky Fried Chicken in surprising and unusual ways, leading to over 13 consecutive growth quarters. He has worked on a variety of brands including Nike, Old Spice, Delta, Bud Light, Sprite, OkCupid and Facebook while finding himself working alongside icons like Mark Zuckerberg, LeBron James and Howard Stern. He has been fortunate enough to win accolades including Titanium, Gold, Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions and multiple Gold Effies for effectiveness. His work has been added to the permanent collection of MoMA through the AICP multiple times. Since joining W+K he has helped bring new business to the network including McDonald's, Ford, Visa, Duracell, Kraft-Heinz, Vitaminwater and The Atlantic.
