Topic: How did we get here? And where are we going? An American Agency in the Age of Transformation

Moses Foster will discuss the path that led to the formation and strategic direction of his agency, West Cary Group, and its continued navigation of an industry in the throes of massive transformation.

Bio:

A native of Farmville, Virginia, Moses attended Virginia Tech and earned his B.A. in Communications and a minor in English. He began his career as an advertising copywriter at Huntsinger & Jeffer, an advertising and direct marketing firm. While there, Moses wrote campaigns for such clients as Hilton Hotels, SunTrust Bank and the American Red Cross. After leaving the firm, Moses moved to Capital One Financial, where he held several marketing positions including Creative Director, Internet Communications Director, Director of Brand Management and Senior Director of Creative Development.

In 2007, Foster opened West Cary Group, a full-service marketing communications and advertising firm. Since that time, he has guided West Cary Group and its clients into an era of integrated communications innovation and growth, garnering such notable clients as LensCrafters, AstraZeneca, PayPal, Oakley, Vonage, Union Bank&Trust, New York Life, Capital One, Henrico County EDA, the Richmond Airport, and Dominion Resources along the way.

Moses has served on the board of the Direct Marketing Association, and currently serves as Director on the HCA Chippenham/Johnston-Willis Hospital Board, and as Director on the Children’s Museum of Richmond Board. In 2011, Foster received the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2015, Foster was selected the Mike Hughes Ad Person of the Year.
