COVID-19 Update: Brandcenter Building, Classes, and Events
VCU and the Brandcenter continue to monitor and adapt to the ever-evolving COVID-19 situation. Brandcenter students, faculty, and staff should monitor email for the latest information from Brandcenter and VCU leadership.
Below are the latest updates (Wednesday, March 18, 2020) regarding Brandcenter and the COVID-19 impacts. For university-wide updates, visit covid-19.vcu.edu.

- All Brandcenter classes will be taught virtually through the end of the semester.
- The Brandcenter building, computer labs and equipment will not be accessible; all Brandcenter staff will be working remotely.
Recruiter Session 2020
At this point in time, Brandcenter will not host an in-person Recruiter Session on April 22 and 23. COVID-19 impacts everyone. As we are navigating this situation, so are the recruiters and their companies, who are working around their own set of challenges, including indefinite holds on non-essential travel. That said, we are still exploring our various options, which include postponing the in-person event to a later date. We are also happy to share that we will be partnering with Working Not Working to create an online portal as an additional way for recruiters to get to know the Class of 2020. Working Not Working is the leading curated online community of the top creative freelance and full-time talent in the world. We’ve been talking with them about how we can potentially work together to make sure a global pandemic doesn’t keep our industry from connecting with the best junior talent (i.e., Brandcenter Class of 2020). We are beyond grateful for their support. We will share more information over the next week or so regarding timing and logistics.
In accordance with VCU, all Brandcenter classes will be virtual for the remainder of the semester. VCU cannot hold commencement as planned based on recommendations from the CDC. Unfortunately, this also means that we must look at alternatives for the Brandcenter's commencement ceremony. We anticipate more guidance from the university on next steps and will provide updates as soon as possible.
