Students Work with Amazon Music, IHOP, and Ritz in 2022 Brandcenter Sprint

Five days. Three brands. 14 student teams. 

The 2022 Brandcenter Sprint competition was held January 10-14, giving Brandcenter students the opportunity to work on real business problems with real clients. 

This year’s BCSprint was again held virtually, featuring a total of 14 student teams split evenly between three live clients: Ritz (and their agency, The Martin Agency), flip'd by IHOP, and Amazon Music. The competition is open to all second-years, though for the first time this year a handful of first-year students also joined the mix. Students are able to select their own teammates and often choose varying combinations of concentrations. Each team is given a mentor to guide them through the process and offer advice and suggestions. Mentors include Brandcenter faculty, alumni, and industry leaders.

After leadership from each brand delivered the briefs on Monday, Brandcenter students had just over three full days to prepare a strategy, plan for execution, and design a presentation. On Friday, January 14, each team had ten minutes to pitch its work to the clients (virtually), at which point each client selected a winning team.

Across the board, clients were blown away by the work Brandcenter students were able to complete in just three days. Comments included:
