William Roberts-Foster serves as the Vice President of Innovation within NBCUniversal’s Advertising and Partnerships division, where he leads the strategic development, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge advertising formats for NBCUniversal’s ad-supported streaming platform, Peacock.
In this pivotal role, he pioneered and cultivated an innovative suite of advertising products, firmly establishing Peacock as a leader in the premium ad-supported streaming landscape.
With more than 15 years of experience across advertising, marketing, media, and business partnerships, Roberts-Foster has collaborated with some of the most renowned brands in the industry, including Ford Motor Company, Saks Fifth Avenue, Procter & Gamble, Sony, and Mars.
Prior to his tenure at NBCUniversal, he gained invaluable experience in various capacities, including advertiser roles at Capital One, agency positions with Team Detroit (now GTB) and Carat, and served as Marketing Director at NBCUniversal.
Roberts-Foster’s passion lies in crafting impactful experiences that resonate deeply with audiences, fostering lasting connections, and driving measurable results for his business partners. He is also a prominent voice in the industry, frequently speaking at conferences and trade events, and serving as a juror for prestigious industry awards, where he shares his insights with the broader advertising community. In recognition of his contributions, he was named one of FierceVideo’s Emerging Leaders in Streaming TV in 2021 and one of Adweek’s Young Influentials in 2022.
He holds a dual BS/BA from the University of Tennessee in Public Relations and Psychology, as well as an MS in Business & Advertising Brand Strategy from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Brandcenter graduate program. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Roberts-Foster currently resides in New York City, where he actively supports educational and professional development through mentoring and sponsorship and arts and culture, including his role as a patron of Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater.
