alumni salary survey

We field this survey every other year, and the more alums who participate, the better the data. It’s as quick and easy as we could possibly make it—it should take you less than 5 minutes to complete! We hope you will participate, and we’ll share the results later this semester.

Thanks to Stacy Thomas (Strategy, 2001), Allison Schneider (Strategy, 2021), and their team at Good Run Research for helping us with this study again.

Take the survey here.

IN MEMORIAM

in memoriam

Don Just

don just

Brandcenter mourns longtime faculty member Don Just. While his career spanned banking, advertising, and leadership at the highest levels, Don often said his years teaching Brandcenter students were the most fulfilling of his life.

Associate Director Ashley Sommardahl (ST, 1998) tells us, “What made Don so special is the way he connected with students. He could push them further than they thought possible, while at the same time giving them the confidence to succeed. His Colonial Village case study was a rite of passage for hundreds of Brandcenter students, as were last-minute ‘curveballs’ during Business of Branding class presentations. From Don, our students learned to have grace under pressure in an industry where nothing ever goes as planned. Our students were so lucky to have learned from him and his memory lives on through their success.”

The family requests that those wishing to honor Don’s memory make a donation in his name to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Katie Tiambeng (Copywriting, 2016)

katie with friends

Alum Katie Tiambeng, 34, passed away peacefully on March 28 after living with metastatic breast cancer for nearly four years. She was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and member of the Brandcenter community, and if she didn’t offer to let you sleep on her couch at some point, it’s only because you hadn’t met her.

Gifts in Katie’s memory can be made to the Prospect Park Alliance, a place that brought her much comfort and community during the nine years she called Brooklyn home.Thank you to alum Emily Hovis (CW, 2016) for sharing this remembrance of Katie.
