I’m an animator, and in 2022 I took a job as a storyboard revisionist for the Beavis and Butt-Head reboot. My role was to help draw out scripts created by the writers for each episode. My directors kindly informed me that my initial drawings of Beavis and Butt-Head were too cute and “needed to be uglier.” For context, there’s an episode where they drink deer urine, thinking it’s beer. Clearly “cute” wasn’t the vibe they were going for.
