Greg Lotus, Global Head of Production at VML, is a distinguished industry veteran and longtime leader of integrated production. As the global lead of the largest worldwide agency Greg works with leaders of all regions to bring the best solutions in executing creative production at the highest levels.
He applies a diverse skill set to all aspects of the production process, managing large-scale multimillion dollar projects. Under his leadership, Greg has been instrumental in shaping the agency’s reputation for integrated production excellence. His extensive experience spans all facets of film and content production, from long-form documentaries and episodic series to short narrative fiction, documentary films, TV, branded content, social media, gaming, experiential, mixed reality and more.
Notable projects under his stewardship include marquee clients like Coca-Cola (“Thanks For Coke Creating”), Dell (“I Will Always Be Me”), “Faces of the Fleet” episodic series for the US Navy and many more Grand Prix and Gold Lions wins. His impressive portfolio also features collaborations with acclaimed directors such as Guillermo Arriaga, Wes Anderson, and Bennett Miller.
Before his tenure at VML, Greg honed his expertise at McCann NY, where he led production efforts for major brands such as MasterCard, Nikon, Verizon, Sony, the US Army, and many other award-winning initiatives.
With over 35 years of experience, Greg’s career is marked by a track record of producing award-winning work. His industry accolades include Cannes Lions, Effie, Midas, ADC, and Pencil awards. Greg is a regular attendee at prestigious events such as AICP, SXSW, and Cannes Lions festivals, where his work continues to make an impact. He has been honored to have served on juries for AICP, LIA and New York Festivals.
A strong advocate for the power of advertising as a force for good, Greg’s commitment to excellence in production is reflected in mentorship programs for London International Awards and internships. Greg has also been a strong and consistent voice in supporting diversity programs within the agency and production community and as an advocate has supported initiatives like Double the Line, 15%+, and Free the Bid.
