About Kayte Hamilton
Kayte Hamilton (Chicago, IL) is the founder of The Social Question, a social media research agency that has processed over 15,000 Instagram Story replies across five countries since 2022. With 13+ years of marketing research experience spanning qualitative and quantitative methodologies, she has built a career bridging the gap between traditional market research practices and emerging social media platforms. Her proprietary ScribeQ™ technology solves a critical industry problem by capturing authentic consumer conversations that would otherwise disappear, earning recognition as a Greenbook Future of Insights Honoree (2023), Social Intelligence Lab Insider 50 Winner (2024), and Quirk’s Best New MarTech Product finalist.
As a marketing adjunct instructor at Old Dominion University since 2021, Kayte brings real-world industry challenges directly into the classroom. She believes the best marketing research education happens when students learn to evaluate research quality, ask better questions, and understand how insights translate to business strategy. Her teaching approach emphasizes connecting present-day industry examples with foundational concepts, preparing students for careers on both the supplier and client sides of the marketing research profession.
Kayte holds a Master’s in Mass Communication from VCU Brandcenter (2013) and a Certificate in Marketing Research from the University of Georgia (2017). She has served in various volunteer capacities with QRCA (most recently as two-term Conference Chair 2023-2024) and is an active member of the Insights Association’s IDEA Council, regularly contributing to inclusive industry-shaping initiatives. As a person who wears two hearing aids, Kayte brings lived experience to conversations about accessibility in research and education. On that note, she recently welcomed home a mini retriever (Roman) to train as her service animal as her hearing loss continues to decline.
