Steven Fisher is a world-renowned futurist, innovation leader, and design strategist with over 30 years of experience. He has a deep passion for the future, leveraging cutting-edge innovations to empower companies, governments, and startups to succeed in a rapidly evolving world. With a strong background in venture creation, experience design, and innovation strategy, Steve is a recognized expert in the Web3 ecosystem, including enterprise blockchain, smart contracts, tokenization, NFTs, and Metaverse experience design.
Steve’s career spans multiple leadership roles. At McKinsey, he specialized in new venture creation, early-stage investing, and business building within a variety of industries. He also helped co-create McKinsey’s Futures Practice, focusing on long-horizon strategy and speculative design engagements. Prior to that, Steve founded Slipstream, an early innovator in the on-demand air travel industry, which he successfully exited. He later co-founded The Revolution Factory, a global innovation network partnered with Singularity University, dedicated to building solutions that drive humanity forward both on Earth and beyond.
In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Steve co-authored the best-selling book The Startup Equation (McGraw Hill, 2016), and has contributed numerous papers on innovation, Web3, and future thinking. His upcoming books, SuperShifts (2025) and Designing the Future (2026), delve deeper into the future of work and the forces shaping our world.
An evangelist for the future and a student of history, Steve believes understanding the human condition and past experiences are key to exploring what lies ahead. His mission as a design futurist, multidisciplinary maker, and executive advisor is to democratize future thinking, helping others anticipate challenges and become resilient, confident decision-makers.
