Visiting Professor of Practice Alyson Gaiser will bring her strategic expertise to Richmond’s Profs & Pints series.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Alyson will lead a lively conversation titled “What’s Behind Those Super Bowl Ads” at Triple Crossing Brewing-Fulton to unpack one of advertising’s most high-profile moments: the Super Bowl.

Alyson, who joins the Brandcenter faculty this academic year teaching in Strategy, draws on her experience as Group Strategy Director at AKQA to break down the creative, cultural, and strategic forces behind ads that aim to captivate millions of viewers. Her talk will explore why certain spots dominate conversation long after kickoff, how brands balance entertainment with message, and what emerging trends are shaping today’s big-game creative.

Profs & Pints provides Richmond audiences a relaxed setting to engage with industry thought leaders and academics. Alyson’s appearance builds on Brandcenter’s commitment to fostering community conversations that bridge the classroom and the real world.

Whether you’re a student of advertising, a local creative, or simply curious about the strategy behind some of the most talked-about ads of the year, join this session for insights (and fun).
