Grace Hudson (Art Direction, 2023) submitted three entries to the Communication Arts Magazine’s 64th Design Annual Competition, the most exclusive major design competition in the world. All three of her entries were shortlisted, and two have been selected to be featured in the September/October 2023 issue of Communication Arts.

Across all categories in the 64th Design Annual competition, 3,350 entries were submitted, and only 135 were accepted. The 135 selected represent the work of 114 designers, design firms, and in-house design departments.

Communication Arts is a professional journal for designers, art directors, design firms, corporate design departments, agencies, illustrators, photographers and everyone involved in visual communications. Through its editorials, feature articles, and the annual competitions it sponsors, CA provides new ideas and information, while promoting the highest professional standards for the field.

Now in its 64th year, CA continues to showcase the current best—whether it’s from industry veterans or tomorrow’s stars—in design, advertising, photography, illustration, interactive and typography.

Hudson’s work will be featured in the more than 25,000 copies of the Design Annual—the September/October 2023 issue of Communications Arts—distributed worldwide.

Congratulations to Grace, and professor Tom Scharpf, on this tremendous accomplishment!
