I manage a blood disorder and a chronic blood clot affectionately named Chronic Karen. While she’s been an uninvited yet steadfast companion for the past two years, her knack for introducing unexpected challenges has taught resilience. Though she might occasionally play the role of a party pooper, Chronic Karen has taught me to tackle life’s ups and downs with a smile and a sense of humor.
