Writing tweets like these are my way of reminding myself that this is not an ordinary school. Each day I am exposed to a fair amount of mind games and hoops the VCU Brandcenter faculty make us “trained seals” jump through.

One week you will be working on saving the rainforest, the next you are berating yourself for using one too many puns in your copy for Dick’s Sporting Goods, and then the following you will be literally walking across a tight rope as part of a team building exercise.

A very far cry from where I was, freelancing alone at my editing desk desiring a chance to create ideas that will resonate far longer than a typical wedding video. More important, I wanted to be with likeminded people. I wanted different people. I wanted to live in a world where marketers hated marketers.

This may seem like a circus only Hedonists can dream of. It reality, it turned out to be a dream come true for me.
